Yup, this is the last part of this eight gate
formation. The last thing that will happen to all living beings is death. Death
may be painful for some and comforting for others. During this pandemic, we are
always afraid of the news of Covid-19 which has resulted in millions of deaths
every week.
However, this did not frighten the elders in my village. When I attended a tahlil event held at a neighbor's house, I understood why my elders were not afraid to die from Covid. ”We parents have stopped doing activities that we used to do every day. Gardening, jogging, gymnastics, doing their respective hobbies are now very difficult. We parents only do worship and repentance until we die, ”said one of the elders. I think it's good for parents to just wait for their death, while we who are still young always feel like dying because we are not strong enough with the trials of life.
Even though it was the first time I thought like that, but something crossed my mind. The elders had been through things worse than what the youths now feel. Dutch military aggression, inflation, fear of PETRUS (Mysterious Shooter), and frequent demonstrations in the past regarding government performance. I think as a young man saying the wish to die as soon as possible was a joke. Therefore I want to continue to fight for myself and those who support me to get through life's very dark obstacles. Yes the future is very dark. To see it, we have to go with the light from the past and the experiences we have in order to survive even if we have to be scratched by the obstacles that exist.
