Eight Gate Formation

 

This name is very foreign to some people. But for fans of the drama Romance of the Three Kingdoms or the Dynasty Warriors Franchise game, they will know the meaning of this name. The Eight Gate Formation is a war strategy created by the legendary strategist, Zhuge Liang of Shu. This strategy was used to ward off attacks by Wei troops led by Strategic Wei Sima Yi. This strategy was successful so that it was able to repel Wei troops from the Wu territory.
